This is one of the most unforgettable Alaskan wilderness adventures you will experience! From Homer, Alaska, join your guide on a scenic bush plane ride to the roadless, remote Katmai or Lake Clark National Park. On your flight there, you will soar over pristine inlets, towering mountains, scenic volcanoes, and iconic glaciers. On a clear day, you can see up to nine volcanoes along the route.
Then land on a remote beach Alaskan style at Katmai or Lake Clark National Park and hike to vantage points to observe the grizzly bears in their natural habitat—truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The area is in the middle of the largest population concentration of brown bears in the world. This is a wilderness tour, observe them as they go about their day-to-day life, grazing on sedge grass, digging up clams, playing together, courting each other, resting, and fishing.
This adventure is a perfect experience for professional and amateur photographers, naturalists, wildlife viewers, National Park enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys spending time in a beautiful wilderness.

An Unforgettable Alaskan Wilderness Experience!
Scenic Bear Viewing uses two 5-passenger Cessna U206 aircraft. Very well proven and safe. No floats or water landing risks.
Our aircraft seats have a weight limit of 250 lbs or 113 kg.
The day begins at our hangar at the Homer Airport, where you’ll get fitted for hip waders, and receive a safety briefing from Martin.
Take to the skies on a fantastic 45 to 90 minute flight, depending on what beach you visit.
The entire trip takes 4.5 or 7 hours, depending on the location. There will be at least three hours on the ground.
Departure times can vary from 5:30 AM to 4 PM due of the tide and/or weather.
Bear viewing season is roughly May 25th to Sept 25th.
